Before founding Honeycombers, Chris was chained to her desk in a marketing career. She spent ten years in marketing, five of those with the American doughnut giant Krispy Kreme (based in Sydney). It was here she learn how to launch a new business from ground up. As much as she had a sweet tooth and loved her job, she decided to leave her home country Australia to live in Singapore.

On arrival into Singapore she took up the role as General Manager at Splash Communications (a subsidiary of Asia City Publishing, you know the guys that produce IS Magazine). After spending some time in the world of print media she was wooed into the creative online world by friends that needed a hand marketing their online business. Then one day, after complaining about the lack of helpful, fun and handy website resources in Singapore, her husband suggested she do something about it. And she did.
