Tipple me Pink!
The latest in Creative Degustation
09 December 2008
When a world-renowned cocktail guru teams up with an innovative chef to open a food and drink pairing restaurant, the Tippling Club, you know you're in for a treat! These partners in crime from Melbourne are as creative and unconventional as their website. There are 5, 10 or 15 course degustation menus innovatively paired with cocktails and wines.
Words like deconstructed, reduced, freeze dried, emulsion and foaming are used to describe your meal as it's served to you. The matching cocktails are equally as interesting, presented in hollowed out books, bubbling test tubes and kopi-O bags.
With a champagne-and-kummel cocktail on the menu called F**k the Sub Prime, and a menu without prices (always a warning sign), be prepared to pay for this experience. At least you won't leave hungry or sober and the sachet of Tippling tea given to you for the morning after, is a welcome touch.
We love: the industrial chic sushi bar concept allowing full view of the chefs preparing the meals and cocktails.
PS: If you're not in the mood for a degustation, there is a new progressive tapas and cocktail menu, with tapas tastes starting at $14, or the new lunch set menus start at $29++ for 2 courses with a glass of wine.

Design forward. tick. Glimmering glam. tick. Futuristic funk. tick. The recently opened Fullerton Bay Hotel is an absolute winner on the waterfront of the newly created Marina Bay. We think the Clifford Pier has just been prized with its jewel. Designed by sought-after Asian designer Andre Fu and LCL Architects, we think they have done an amazing job of making ...

With an open kitchen and a menu totally devote ...
