Forget the New Year diets as there's a host of fab new restaurants to try out around town, from American diner to fine-dining there's something for everyone... except those on a diet!

This little gem is tucked under the esplanade theatre. The food here is amazing quality, innovative and interesting, and the chef is reminiscent of a French Jamie Oliver. The setting is very white, clean and modern with outdoor and indoor dining.
We love: The amazing tapas menu for lunch at $37++ it's incredible value for such excellent quality.

Absinthe Restaurant
Amazing French service, oui! Fine French cuisine, oui! Chic French atmospheres, oui! The owners of OSO have done an outstanding job with this lovely little French restaurant. Merci beaucoup!

The substantial menu specializes in Aussie staples such as Fish n Chips, pies and beers with the huge snapper pie as their signature dish.
We love: The atmosphere is casual, light and more down to earth than the real Double Bay.

Jim Thompson: A Thai Restaurant
The $3.5 million was well spent as the interior of the heritage building at Dempsey Hill certainly has the Wow Factor. The authentic Thai menu includes changing specials which are both new creations by individuals and family recipes handed down through the generations of Thai families and judged by Jim Thompson's tasting jury.
We love: The cocktail bar also offers fine wines by the glass and tastings to help choose the perfect match with your food.

La Villa
The stunning candle lit garden and smooth jazzy tunes creates a romantic outdoor dining experience. A quality European menu and attentive service is the icing on the cake. One not to miss.

One on the Bund
Contemporary Chinese cuisine with a Western twist - interested? The dishes include crispy lamb ribs, fresh scallops accompanied with pomelo, braised snails in spicy Chinese wine sauce and crispy chicken served on a bed of red chilli.
