Moving Performance
A quirky and contemporary dance piece, Songs for Gaia reflects on man's experience and our relationship with nature. The dance contains whimsical penguin-inspired characters and weather-inspired movements, as well as live singing by the A Cappella Society Youth Voices.

Smooth Tunes
Kick back and soak up the sexy, soulful sounds of Cuban Jazz by the river. As part of the Singapore River Festival which starts tomorrow, Jazz by the River will be a great place to sip on the Mojitos and welcome in the weekend. Head down a little earlier to catch the Bumboat Parade, the HiPPO River Show and CampFire Dance, an outdoor performance by Ecnad.
When: Jazz by the River: this Friday and Friday 26 June, 9.30-11.30pm, Free.

Unguarded Moment
Photography buffs this one is not to be missed! Famous photographer Steve McCurry will be providing an insight into his practice this weekend. This is part of the Month of Photography Asia, and Steve's stunning and powerful exhibition, The Unguarded Moment. There is also a photo contest open for professionals to amateurs.

Catch the Rhythm
Singapore's first Mojito Fiesta launches on Saturday with a salsa extravaganza. Salsa aficionados, whip out your dancing shoes and glittery costumes and head down to Clarke Quay where overseas instructors and dancers will be leading the party and showing off some new moves.

Cycle and Skate
Take the Endurance Challenge at the 14th National Runway Cycling & Skating 2009 event. This mass cycling-cum-inline skating event is for the serious contenders and the leisurely participants alike, and promises to get the heart and legs pumping.
When: Sunday, 8am (Gate opens at 7am). Free.
