Love Generation
Remember Jimi Hendrix, The Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkle or The Who? Us neither! But we have all heard of them... check out Parties Rockers, Mods and other Oddities, a documentaries series which tells the story of the world's first major rock festival, and the tragically ill-fated Rolling Stones free concert in '69.. Feel the flower power!

Rare Groove
One of the finest and most respected DJs in the world is here this weekend, Norman Jay. This British legend, described as the 'one true Godfather of British Culture', will be spinning his signature house as well as funk, soul and Jazz-funky tunes. Much respect sir!
When: Friday 1am-4am. $25-$35.

Ready Set, Go!
The first ever Asian Youth Games kicks off this weekend with an Opening Ceremony on Sunday. Check out the timetable of events from athletics, table tennis to bowling - there is something for every sporting enthusiast!
When: June 29 - July 7. Opening Ceremony Sunday, 7.30pm, $20.
Where: Opening ceremony at Singapore Indoor Stadium, other events at various venues, see SISTIC.

Back to Black
The Screening Room turns two! Forget the fairy bread... Turn up in black and white to enjoy complimentary sangria and light canapés followed by 50% Mumm Champagne all night long. With saxophonist Nicole and resident DJ's spinning, this will be a good place to start on Saturday. There will also be midnight canapés to tease your palate.
When: Saturday, 7-9pm for free sangria and canapés.

Hip Hop
The annual Asia Hip Hop Festival is on this weekend. With master classes and a mass workshop conducted by members of O Crew and overseas instructors, and an explosive 2.5 hour concert showcasing the talents of 18 crew of the best dancers from 7 countries in the region, this will get you hopping.

Walk in the Park
Breath in the fresh air, take in the sea view and get in touch with nature. Head to a nature reserve for a walk, picnic or just some time out to spot the squirrels. Take a sunset stroll in Labrador Nature Reserve, or spend the afternoon wildlife watching at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve - mind the crocs (and we're not talking shoes)...
