Sweat Fest
Be it Jazz, Minimal, Acid, Detroit or any other genre you can spin, Israel's Shlomi Aber will have produced it or will find a way to weave it into one heck of a seamless mix that'll set the vibe for a major sweat fest. With tracks on labels like Cocoon, Ovum & Renaissance, Shlomi's unique sets, amazing technical skills and top-notch music selection will get your weekend kicking with a bang!

Foodies Rejoice
The Singapore Food Festival starts this weekend, so get amongst it at the Peranakan Parade at Clarke Quay on Friday and then head to Read Bridge to the Clarke Quay Food Street, where you will find some lip-smacking local delicacies and Peranakan snacks. Keep your eye's peeled for the Nonya Mobile, and if you are a serious foodie, book into to a culinary workshop with Violet Oon, where you will learn some classic nonya secrets recipes...

Pack a picnic
Head to Ballet under the Stars to enjoy some classical and contemporary performances. Arrive early for some face painting and glitter tattoos for the kids, enjoy your picnic and then settle in for five performances including Pop! in which eye-catching and slyly humorous moves are set to tunes by the likes of Annie Lennox, Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey.

Meet the Real Pigsy
Remember Monkey King, Pigsy and Sandy? Come and re-live Journey To The West - one of China's most famous literature masterpieces. Written in the Ming Dynasty, this rendition of the much-loved folktale is based on the legend of Monk Xuanzang as he travels west in search of Buddhist scriptures with his three disciples, Monkey King, Pigsy and Sandy. Performed by over 80 artists this stunning performance has won awards for its breathtaking display of dance and martial arts against a backdrop of modern stage technology.
When: Thursday-Sunday, 8pm. Sunday, 2.30pm $38-108

Aboriginal Art & Sculpture
Take in some of the ancient Aboriginal art and culture at the Colour and Country exhibition, as part of NAIDOC week. Fiona Argyle travelled deep into Australia's Gibson Desert to find art and sculpture from first time young Aboriginal Artists to renowned living treasures for this exhibition.
When: now until 28 August, 9am-4.30pm. Free.
