Fashion, Free Flow and Fillies

Lunch with the girls usually goes something like this: rush in, order, angry work rant, wine, gossip, pay, and rush out. Sometimes you need to slow down and relax. Catch up. Well Tuesday 3rd November is the perfect excuse.
Its Melbourne Cup day, a day of fashion, free flow and fun. Head to our favourite Aussie hang out Boomarang Bistro & Bar who will be airing the race that stops the nation on all of their four big screens.
The races are fun but the main event is the Fashions on the Field Competition. Come down early and have your hair styled and hats or fascinators attended to by the experts. Stylists from Toni & Guy will make sure you look fabulous enough to strut down the red carpet. And of course there will be celebrity judges giving fabulous prizes to the man and woman with the Best Hat, Best Hair and of course Best Overall Outfit.
So whilst you enjoy free flow of Chandon and canapés (for just $35 nett) from 10.00am until the race begins at 12noon, you can catch up with the girls. Then book a table to enjoy either the regular Monday to Friday three-course set lunch ($20 nett). Alternatively, come down earlier and have a gourmet coffee over breakfast.
So mark this date in the diary, dust off your hats, and clear the calendar, this will be a fun long lunch that you may not remember!
When: Tuesday 3 November, 10.00am pre-lunch drinks, 11.45am Best Hat, Best Hair and Best Overall Outfit prizes awarded, 12noon Emirates Melbourne Cup race begins.
Where: Boomarang Bistro & Bar, 60 Robinson Quay, 01-15, Singapore, p.6738 1077

Design forward. tick. Glimmering glam. tick. Futuristic funk. tick. The recently opened Fullerton Bay Hotel is an absolute winner on the waterfront of the newly created Marina Bay. We think the Clifford Pier has just been prized with its jewel. Designed by sought-after Asian designer Andre Fu and LCL Architects, we think they have done an amazing job of making ...
