New in, just opened!

12 October 2009

Every now and then (like every weekend), you head to Orchard Road and are surprised with a little gem. A fabulous new store that keeps you entertained for hours - as you try on each item, imagine yourself with your new hobby, or plan for your next return visit to try the spa package...and in that moment, your painful clients, nagging family, and credit card bills ... are just distant memories...

Staples and not-so-staples
Lovers of stationery be warned, Kikki.K is seriously addictive. This Swedish/Australian stationary shop has everything from diaries, weekly planners, to photo calendar kits, recipe folders, personalized sticky notes, love conversation starters and more. One hit and you'll be coming back for more.

Robots this way
The local label hansel has opened their first stand alone store in Stamford house. This is the perfect location for this funky label, and the new store showcases their AW09 Robot Girl range. We love the thunder lightning designs - very superwomen-esque.

Charmed to meet you
The fab Danish jewellery chain Pandora has opened here at last. A great gift idea, their signature charm bracelets are something that you can keep adding to for each special occasion. This month they have a special pink ribbon charm and pink leather bracelet for Breast Cancer awareness, with 15% of proceeds going to various breast cancer organisations. How sweet.

Little people
If you have little people that follow you round everywhere demanding food and clothing, read on. We are excited that Cotton on Kids has arrived to this wee island. This is a big relief for all parents in Singapore who seek quality kids clothing at reasonable prices. We love the cheeky tees and funky tights.

Vintage kimono
Nothing like a good vintage find - and kimono vintage is something else. Kyoto Arts Boutique is a new Japanese-theme boutique which stocks a range made from vintage kimono and obi fabrics, all sourced from Kyoto. Check out the funky hand-drawn kimono patterns with a 3-D effect.

One stop
On the weekend we all need to wax, buff, read, and pick up flowers - right? So now thanks to the Spa Espirit group we can do it all in one stop at the new Beauty Emporium at Dempsey. The Emporium has Browhaus, Strip, Mask as well as a book shop, CD shop and florist. Handy huh.
