Shops to spas, bikes, race tracks and restaurants

11 January 2010

So whilst some of us were lying on a beach, others have been opening shops, hotels, race tracks, hair spas and nail spas...so why thank you!

Crème me
If hair products worked as promised, we would all be skipping around town with glossy manes, waving our hair in the wind, with never a strand out of place. Instead, we totally recommend a trip to Crème The Hair Spa. Expect the total spa experience and non-frizzed locks and a totally chilled out self as a result.
Special Offer: Mention Honeycombers and get $50 off any treatment.

Get on your bike
Once you have that glossy mane, all you need to complete the carefree look is a retro funky bike, basket and all. And the guys from Workshop are conveniently located right next door. Workshop have some fab refurbished bikes - we just love Victoria she just oozes style.

Jones in town
Our favourite café spot at the hill has just opened in town. With their sensational coffee and light bites, along with their cheeses to die for, Jones The Grocer is a much welcomed addition to the new look Mandarin Gallery on Orchard.

Fresh eggs
The trendy and refreshing lifestyle store, Eggthree from Joo Chiat & Erskine Road has opened just around the corner from Jones. With their quirky flare we love their well-priced and fun accessories, homeware and fashion. Oh, and there are some sweet little numbers for little people too.

Watch the nails
Well, there's nothing like a new nail retreat in the Orchard precinct. Take you and your paws to Juup Nail Spa for a customised treatment. Using only the best products such as OPI, Precision and Cuccio, their nail technicians offer manis and pedis unique to your needs, right down to the scrubs and moisturisers. You have to try it to believe it.
Special Offer: Mention Honeycombers and get 20% off any treatment.

Go kart it
For the thrill seekers, the recently opened competition-grade go kart track, KartRight opened on the weekend in Jurong. Designed for serious riders with their own carts, amateurs can also take a spin ($30 for 10 minutes).

East meets west
Dempsey hasn't missed out either, check out the new bold restaurant Pamplemousse, located in the area. Chef Adrian Ling blends east and west in this new age restaurant, expect European in essence but served with an unexpected Oriental twist. Tuck into a two course Prix Fixe Menu SGD 48++ or a three course Prix Fixe Menu is priced at SGD 58++.
