Right now the guys from Tabitha Foundation Cambodia are looking for people to outreach to the poorest of the poor. Every year a group of Singaporean residents head to rural Cambodia to help build houses for the local people. And they are looking for some builders to join their upcoming house building trip in July.

Cambodia is a confronting country. There are many amputees, children begging, and poverty at its extreme, and you will hear stories of inhumanity that will shock you. At the Killing Fields you will see what remains of hideous mass graves and the skulls of people who were tortured and killed at this place. You will also see many beggars and even young children begging on the streets. As part of the trip you will be playing an active part in making life better in this part of the world will mean much much more than the physical benefits you leave behind. Your care and outreach to the Cambodian people will give them hope and courage.

Tabitha Foundation are seeking 5-6 builders to join them in the upcoming trip to Cambodia on (11 July - 15 July). The houses that you will be building are very simple in design and construction. Due to the logistics involved and the potential risks of people being injured, the basic structure and roof will already be assembled and standing when you arrive on site. Your job will be to install the floorboards and wall panels. Sounds simple, but the intense heat and desolation of rural Cambodia will be obstacle enough for the majority of you. The thing to remember is that you are providing a charity to the poorest of the poor and your experience will be greatly enriched by just being there.
The costs involved in the construction of the houses is approx USD$960.00 per house for materials. We hope to build 10 houses over a two day period.

Places are limited, so if you are interested to find out more email beinspired@thehoneycombers.com with Cambodia Calling as your subject.
