Design forward. tick.
Glimmering glam. tick.
Futuristic funk. tick.

The recently opened Fullerton Bay Hotel is an absolute winner on the waterfront of the newly created Marina Bay. We think the Clifford Pier has just been prized with its jewel.

Designed by sought-after Asian designer Andre Fu and LCL Architects, we think they have done an amazing job of making this heritage site a truely remarkable architectural masterpiece. (Yes we are smitten).

Andre Fu told CNTraveller.com: "The whole project to me is to create destinations within the public spaces - each carefully crafted and choreographed to echo a subtle journey."

The glimmering glass facade of the hotel's 17-metre wide lobby joins onto Clifford Pier, a historic site that symbolises the earlier settlers of Singapore.

And the piece de la resistance? According to Fu its the Lantern skybar, set around the hotels 25 meter rooftop pool. "Surrounded by lush tropical landscaping that is reminiscent of the Mediterranean lifestyle, the skyroof is highlighted with a six meter diameter glowing bar designed in the shape of a lantern. [There are] 36 swirling bronze fins positioned at the far end of the swimming pool to serve as the key focal point."

"It is a truly bespoke product that is designed with a high degree of individuality," Fu concludes. "To me, it is a hotel that honours Singapore's historic past, with a vision for the future."

The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is located at 80 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049326. Tel: +65 6333 8388 right next door to Oyster Bar
