Princess for a day… or longer
Easy shopping for your little princess - Honeycombers Kids style
Saturday, 3 Jul 2010
It’s all tulle tulle tulle. Fancy dresses, high heels, tiaras. And lots of pink. The princess stage… Before you know it she’ll be on the back of a motorbike with her scruffy Prince not-so-Charming, so channel her inner princess while you can.
The outfit
Maketh the princess. The fanciest selection is at Takashimaya, (Disney section), where you’ll find everything princess from Ariel through to Snow White. Other top stops for sparkly numbers: Early Learning Centre, Cotton On Kids, Spotlight, Toys’R'Us and Mini Princess.
Beauty
Your little princess and all her friends will be treated like royalty with a trip to a beauty parlor like Polished Divas. We’re talking hair, make up and nails. Candylocks will transform her in no time. You can even arrange for a pink and sparkly photo session after the pampering at Curly’n'Spike.
Bedroom furniture
If you’re confident the princess phase will last, fill her bedroom with the pink, curtained bed from The Better Kids Décor Store or Babyzoo. If money’s no object, your princess will swoon over the beds from Boo-tiful. Or for simpler princess-worthy beds, try Laura Ashley or Piccolo House.
Accessories
After just a touch of pink paraphernalia? Try the princess bunting from Laura Ashley, or a princess rug, wall stickers, cushions, tent and a heart shaped bean bag from The Better Kids Décor Store. And we love the jewellery boxes at Florence Gifts – perfect for a princess-obsessed birthday present.
Toys
Looking for that perfect pink gift? How about a princess vacuum cleaner from Takashimaya? They also have princess computers, fancy tea sets, puzzles and back packs. Or check out the ‘blackberry’ princess mobile phone Kiddy Palace. And we couldn’t skip past the Early Learning Centre has a princess dress up book and a deluxe tea set to paint.
That should do it!! Abracadabra. Your work is done.
