Speak-easy of the tropics

In New York they are doing it. Londoners are doing it too. And Melburnians love doing it. Dining with strangers that is. The movement of Guerilla Dining or Underground Dinners, and Secret Suppers now has a cult following around the world. It's the latest trend in dining and now Singaporeans can enjoy it too.

Some clubs are illegal, unlicensed and transient, like Zingara Cucina (Italian for 'Gypsy Kitchen) Australia's pioneer in this movement. Some are elite like Whisk and Ladle in Manhattan. Some are downright creative like Silverspoon in Copenhagen. All of them are by invitation only, and are focused on dining with like-minded strangers.

With a penchant for good times, fancy dress, beautiful people, deep and funky hip shakin' party grooves, these clubs represents everything you enjoyed about going out but can't seem to find anymore.

And the Singaporean club Social Candy promises to deliver this same genuinely interesting evening. Social Candy founder Olivia Lennan promises: "You never know what we have in store... we just promise you this: it won't be boring. It's all about a carefully orchestrated experience that will have all your senses buzzing".

We like the sound of that.

So how do you get invited? Hit the Social Candy facebook page, become a fan and invite your friends. You may get asked a couple of questions and depending on your creative answers you might just get yourselves invited to this speak-easy of the tropics.

Why go? Same, same is just not good enough.
