Sunset drinks
Although you can't really get away from overlooking our lovely tankers, the best place to soak up that sweet sea breeze is down on Sentosa at Café del Mar or Tanjong Beach Club. We also love heading east to One Twenty Six or The Beach Hut. If you are looking for spray, head to Wave House, even better to bring along a budding surfer for free entertainment.

For the game
A great place to watch football, tennis, or rugby is Picotin with its horse shoe bar or Boomarang 'cause you are bound to get a good view with their 8 large screens. Both have a good menu to boot.

Pool please
There's nothing like sinking a coldie over a competitive (or not-so-competitive) game of pool. We love Bombay Bar in Club Street for their free pool table, China One is not a bad spot either or for some local flavor head to K Box on Orchard, where you can dabble in a spot of karaoke or pool until the early hours.

After 5
Sick of heading to the same old place. Us too. Check out Society Bar, recently opened by Prime Society. Or head to Emerald Hill (it's not that far!). Here you can bar hop the night away. We love Alley Bar, the new Gem Bar, and No.5 where there's usually a bucket deal and the novelty of throwing peanut shells on the floor, which never really wears off. Head next door to Que Pasa for some tasty tapas to soak up the alcohol before kicking on.

Something different
Been there done that? Head over to sophisticated wine bar Speakeasy where you can sit outside and watch the world go by. Or hit the Club Street area to the Screening Room for a relaxed rooftop setting and finish at The Olde Cuban for a puff to round off the night. Need something really different? Bar 84 is the place to see our own Japanese David Copperfield. Yes, this bar, full of Japanese expats has a bartender that can pull lemons out from surprising places. Bring a deep wallet.

Guests in town
Out to impress? Start at Lantern Bar, or for something different try Orgo, both have great views. Next stop head to Divine Bar, just for the novelty to see those bar maids fly up in the air. After some chilli crab, head Clark Quay for a wheel-chair bound drink at The Clinic before hitting the clubs (or the wall).

Hi there, any suggestion for a good decent drinking place with karaoke and pool table? Last time I always went to Rain Music Box at UE Square, recently after renovation, the pool table was gone, added with more Karaoke rooms. Went to the bar (forgot the name) at Dolby Guat once, a lot of pool tables and karaoke system was good, but the pool tables were separated in another side, so not really could be together with the whole group. Just checked the website that Pub Caribbean seems has both but dont know good or not.
