Sweet September Family Activities
What's on in Singapore in September
27 August 2010
It's time to go back to school - either you love it (finally, some peace!) or you hate it (really?). Either way, here's what's on in Singapore in September so you can squeeze in a bit more quality family time.
Flying High
Test your kids' aeronautical skills at the Kite Flying Festival in front of the impressive backdrop of Marina Bay. They'll teach your kids how to make their own kites, and the pros will demonstrate their flying high skills in a musical performance.
Ride'em Cowboy
Take the family along to RDA's family fair for pony rides galore. There will be jumping castles, giveaways, face painting and you'll get the feel good factor of knowing that your family is supporting people with disabilities
Sweet Sweet September
Ice-cream fanatics, make a date for Ben & Jerry's Chunkfest 2010. Yep, it's an ice-cream festival. There are 12 flavours that will be flown in especially - you get to vote to keep your favourite. How sweet is that?
Go Swimming With Dinosaurs
Well, almost - Imax is showing "Sea Rex". Dive into the pre-historic water world and get up close and personal with ancient monsters of the sea.
Dance With Dinosaurs
Or get friendly with your tot's favourite purple dinosaur. Barney and his friends will be holding a grand royal ball (aka a musical) and your kids are invited along to the party. Get your tickets from SISTIC.
Natural Art
Your kids (K1-K6) can celebrate Hari Raya Puasa - the end of Ramadan by creating their own all-natural piece of art at the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. Or check out the free heART for Nature Workshop (5-10 yo) - make sure you register, as there are limited places.
