Feel Good Factor
January family activities in Singapore
Friday, 14 Jan 2011
It’s good to be back! Here’s our handpicked selection for what’s on in January.
Back To School
Wasn’t one of your new years resolutions to bring organisation into your household (without disturbing the sleek interior design of your home?) Enter the Swedish designers at Kikki K – their calendars and to do lists are the hippest around and will satisfy all your stationery whims and desires.
Mouse vs Gruffalo?
What animal has a black tongue and purple prickles down its back? The Gruffalo of course! Your kids will love watching tiny Mouse outwit all the animals in the forest. This is one of our favourite kids books of all time brought to the stage. Fresh from the UK, tickets are almost sold out here – get yours before you miss out!
Surfin’ Safari
Been to the Wave House out at Sentosa yet? We stopped by there yesterday, and are still laughing at the videos of the spills! Take your older kids out for a session – guaranteed to have all the spectators entertained.
Feel Good Factor
Day for Daisy is all about celebrating family at an afternoon of free activities for the kids of all ages. On Sunday 23rd January, bring the whole family along to Loewen Gardens for a BBQ, free entertainment and a silent auction with fabulous prizes. All proceeds go directly to little Daisy who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Body Piercing
20 January is Thaipusam. Nothing beats the spectacular of this Hindu festival to celebrate good over evil. Devotees may have their cheeks and tongues pierced with skewers or spears. Not for the faint hearted!
Dinner for Two?
If you or your other half have a passion for food, you will love the sous vide creations of Chef Vincent at Table 66. Perfect for date night. Our mouths are still watering from the Petuna Ocean Trout, and the Confit Of Tomato Momotaro is die die must try. Mmmmmmm.
