A M1 Festival must, Another Me: Transformations from Pain to Power (India) is the powerful photography exhibition of girls aged 8-25 who have been trafficked to Kolkata brothels. The girls are transformed by make up, costume and props into dramatic characters after counselling. Take in their intense expressions and the stories of pain and hope.

A highlight of Art Stage Singapore, check out Now Boarding: Island Thinking and Flights of Fancy curated by Jason Wee. Held at that oh-so-chic gallery Give Art, Now Boarding uses Birds, Planes and other modes of flight to consider the issue of tourism, transportation and transplanted identities. This colourful exhibition employs pop-inspired kitsch, fabric art, paper installations amongst other effects.
