Saying 'yes' was the easy part. Orchestrating the wedding, party, invitations and gift registry whilst navigating the family politics, is where things get tricky.

Luckily, we have your go-to Singapore wedding suppliers to help.

The Present Plan
Avoid the tasteless linens and double-ups on toasters with Give Art. Steer your guests into a timeless present, the gift of art. Set up a personalised wedding registry on the Give Art website and guests can donate towards the artwork. Give Art carefully selects the artists who are emerging artists from Southeast Asia and the UK. As a guest you might like to create the registry as a surprise. You and your guests can select Gift Vouchers allowing you to choose an artwork later. Browse online or visit the gallery (open Thu-Sat 2-7pm).

Push the Envelope
Whether your style is striking or traditional, Paper Tiger Press will create timeless invitations, save the dates, programs and thank-yous worth framing. Specializing in luxuriously tactile wedding invitations each handcrafted with the help of their 100-year-old letterpress. These guys create invitations destined to be heirloom keepsakes of a couple's big day; a lasting memory for both them and their guests to have and to hold, from this day forth.

Budding in the right direction
Baby's Breath ban in effect? Singapore's Wonderland designs are truly enchanting. Using an unexpected mix of flowers, leaves, seed pods and more, they create a unique showcase of your individual tastes. Personal ceremony flowers are their specialty, but they can provide the floral decor for the ceremony or reception venue too. They can also team up with event stylists to create your quintessential theme, whether at home or in a ballroom. Follow them on facebook to see their latest creations and fall in love with them, as we did.

Hi Honeycombers,

I love your weekly emails and suggestions. Thank you for always being in the know! I am American and just had my first shocker of a wedding dress shopping experience in Singapore. A friend got married a couple years ago and took me to the Tanjong Pagar area today and it was terrible! She managed to find a beautiful dress then, but the shops I saw today were scary and the only sizes on the racks weren't even close to being big enough to try on. The only other shop I know of is the Link wedding and I'm guessing it is out of budget. Can you recommend any shops that cater to westerners wanting to try on dresses and don't necessarily want a custom made dress? I am not sure I feel confident enough to trust a tailor with such an important project. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Somer
