Review of Auriga Spa at Capella

The problem with ultimate indulgent experiences? You can never go back.

A trip in First Class, means Business is only so-so. A 6-star spa experience means monthly maintenance facials at your local salon just ain't going to cut it. Well, not all the time anyway!

So read on with caution.

We recently tried the five hour honeymoon package at Capella's Auriga Spa, and it almost made us want to re-marry!

Auriga Spa at Capella delivers ultra-indulgence with a nod towards nature. The contemporary space is nestled into the leafy rainforest and it has a warm but chic vibe. Using all-organic and natural products we are now hooked on the The Organic Pharmacy product range from the UK.

The honeymoon full day package starts with relaxation time either using the spa amenities, gym or kicking back poolside. Once zenned you head into your couples treatment room for a body exfoliation, and full body wrap along with an invigorating hair and scalp treatment - divine! You are then indulged in a top to toe massage with organic carrot butter facial cleanse, before ending off with a jasmine facial mask.

After your treatments, you then pop into candle-lit, rose-petal bath before unwinding with an intimate tea session (either while you are in the bath or in the private garden within the suite). We were totally impressed with how this post-treatment soak just made you feel like you were floating on cloud 9.

Finally you end the day with mocktails and a rather large selection of tapas at Bob's Bar overlooking the regal South China Sea. Not bad chaps.

Amazingly Auriga has some pretty reasonable deals available at the moment. Personally we are tempted by the spa membership deals, which offers 10 hours of treatments for $1412++ or a Mon-Thu 10 hour package for $1236++, with no expiry!

The only problem, 5 star will probably not cut it again.
