School Holiday activities with benefits
16 June 2011
Do you have a mini Picasso at home?
Heres' a school holiday activity that comes with real benefits!
Singapore's under 12's are being invited to draw, paint, stamp, crayon or print their dreams of a greener Singapore for the chance to win one of three eco-friendly kitchen makeovers worth up to S$8,000 for their family offered by Electrolux.
Kids are being asked to pick up their pens, crayons and paint brushes as part of the celebration of this brands very funky showcase 'Vacs from the Sea'. This is an exhibition of funky vacuum cleaners highlighting the issue of marine debris and its impact on marine life.
Each vac has been designed by incorporating fragments of bottles, food containers, drinks cans, beach toys etc. collected from the shores of the Pacific and Indian Oceans and the North, Mediterranean and the Baltic Seas. Cool huh?
These vacs could be inspiration to the kids with this contest, as Electrolux is asking kids to revamp on paper the exterior of a EWF10751 washing machine.
Winners will be selected via a combination of a public vote on the Electrolux Little White Book fanpage and Electrolux design judges.
In exchange, three lucky designers have the chance to win a green makeover for their family home, gift vouchers from a leading local department store and be presented with their winning design professionally mounted and framed.
So you get a kitchen makeover and Petite Picasso gets their piece framed.
Now that's colouring with benefits!
