Romantic dinners, sweet whispers, loving embraces ... sometimes you can create your own fireworks, other times a little bit of gun powder is required!

Make the most of the National Day fireworks this August 9 with a front row booking of the Marina skyline. Here are our picks of some of the stellar restaurants and what they are offering. Book quickly - these will all be full houses for sure!

Kinki Restaurant & Bar
The chefs at Kinki have gotten into the national spirit with some uniquely Singaporean twists to their menu - think chilli crab inspired sushi and pork floss maki, cinnamon curry-scented pan hokkaido scallops (we are drooling now), while the Tempura Milo Icecream sounds intriguing. Their 5-course set meal on National Day is $138++. Head up stairs to the newly opened bar to complete the night, and if you are looking for a freebie, come dressed as Lady Gaga on 8 Aug for a comp bottle of Moet (limited to first 10 gagas!)

Come Tuesday Aug 9 you can indulge in ossobuco, wild barramundi or angus beef tenderloin as part of their 5 course set dinner for $138++ and safely know that fireworks will be only part of the night's highlight.
