Music aficionados rejoice… Baybeats is back. This annual 3 day Asian rock festival filled with sweaty, mosh-pit fun celebrates the music you don’t hear on the radio… Expect a diverse array of acts from folk to hardcore to post-rock. This is the best platform to discover your new favourite band, so ready your festival survival kit, ‘cos it’s going to get messy.

Subculture
Fred Perry’s music initiative is back with Subculture – The Fourth Gig. An evening of fine music provided by well-rounded line up of homegrown musicians, Cheating Sons, The Pinholes, Vanessa Fernandez and Poptart, served with delicious cocktails for all to enjoy, Fred’s Punch, (courtesy of 42Below) wear your Fred Perry tips with pride and expect priority.

Paper Boats
It’s been one sangria-filled year since we first set our flip-flops at Tanjong Beach Club’s sandy strip! Yep TBC is turning one and they want to thank all us beach bums for our unwavering love come sunshine, moonlight or r-a-i-n with their first anniversary party. Real Life
Catch real life at the 4th Singapore Indie Doc Fest. Featuring both Singapore and international documentary films, the 2011 edition features more honest portrayals of life moving before a camera. From how art speaks louder than violence, the meaning of motherhood, emerging musical trends challenging cultural identities to the perils of global and economic change – expect some thought provoking stuff.

Public Garden
Free spirit retailing prevails at Public Garden, a monthly flea market featuring a mix of 100+ vendors, including Singapore’s best independent businesses and creative individuals. Participating vendors include BooksActually, The Little Dröm Store, Dustbunny Vintage, pupilpeople, MessyMsxi and Casual Poet.

Rock Out
After rocking Singapore last year with their sell out concert, the award winning American band Paramore are back. The band took the world by storm with 2005′s All We Know is Falling, 2007′s Riot and 2009′s Brand New Eyes. Touring with them are special guests,The Swellers, an American punk rock band from Michigan.
