Beauty, in a word, is hell.

But it can hurt a smidge less with a wax from an excellent therapist.

We trialled four of our favourite waxing salons in Singapore to give you this report...

...And yes, that's dedication!

Cecilia Westberry
Cecilia is the fastest waxer in town. Period. We think speed and hygiene are the key to making this experience as ....ummm...pain free as possible. And this local lady, Cecilia is the crème-de la-crème when it comes to pace.
Brazilian speed: 12 minutes

Pink Parlour
We've been a fan of their nails, but we are now also converts to their Brazillian offering. They have the option of a shower on arrival, which we loved. Fab ambience, décor, mood lighting and music. The pain level here was less than others we have tried, which is a huge tick on our list!
Brazilian speed: 15 minutes

Bliss Spa
Gotta love a visit to Sephora to stock up on beauty essentials, plus stopping at Bliss for some pampering (best of both worlds!) Although it is not the fastest on the list, we still think Bliss offers a great Brazilian service, and would go back again. We think the free brownie before the treatment definitely took the edge off the pain - nice!

Strip - Ministry of Waxing
This Singapore based chain has it's sights set on a global take-over... and we love their Mantra for waxing: HSQ - Hygiene, Speed, Quality... But when it comes to the crunch, they didn't deliver on the '15 minutes or less' wax they promise. We did however like their new strawberry wax with cammomile and aloe vera!
