Shanghai Chicken Burgers

Recipe of the month

Just like the plot of Shanghai Noon, this one is Simple (with a capital S), but deliciously satisfying. Especially if you have a thing for Owen Wilson, which *alas* we have to admit to...

Bring on the buns!

Satisfies: 4 fashionistas, 1 hunky bloke or 40 models

Ingredients:
½ cup of onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
½ cup Hoisin sauce
2 eggs beaten
¼ cup breadcrumbs
500g chicken mince
¼ cup coriander

Instructions:
- Climb out of new Jimmy heels.
- Feel your toes again.
- Slip on Ana Vu silk goddess maxi.
- Poor a wine and thank the Lord the day is ending.
- Get someone to preheat the BBQ or hot grill.
- Locate a large bowl and mix the onion, garlic, egg, Hoisin sauce and mince.
- Combine them well (read: no slacking here).
- Then add breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly.
- Divide mixture into 4 (if you are sharing) and shape them into a round powder puff size.
- Cook on grill on low heat for about 10 mins each side.
- You want patties as brown as Beyonce but still as tender and juicy as George Clooney in this video (it is hilarious!)
- Serve on toasty buns with some salad on the side for good measure.
- Eat in front of Shanghai Noon for some Owen Wilson drooling.
