Review: Lark The Spa Atelier

Slipping into the world of the imagination is the essence of any good book and now, a tiny-weeny little spa.

The beauty conscious, book-lovers, cultured and curious will enjoy a rather enchanting visit to Lark, a tiny spa in The Royal Hotel.

Unlike the rather daggy Royal Hotel, Lark is a cutesie spa consisting of just two rooms and a rather pokey lobby. Don't fret though, for what Lark lacks in space, it makes up in style and substance.

We were drawn to Lark as it is a literary themed boutique spa that offers monthly limited edition beauty treats based on literary inspired themes. Perfect for us gals that like to be inspired and pampered at the same time (and handy for book club inspiration!)

So what does this mean? Each month Lark comes up with 'Lit Treats' - two signature treatments that are inspired by an author or a book. Roald Dahl inspired Lark in September, October - Alice in Wonderland, November is Shakespeare inspired and December is Christmas themed based on the book Dash & Lily's Book of Dares (a Christmas NY City tale).

But the creativity doesn't stop there.

Lark is also holding a Christmas book exchange to coincide with the holiday season. It works like "Secret Santa", but the present to be exchanged at the end has to be a book. Promising to be a fun way to make a new pal and share the joy of reading. Plus, one lucky pair who complete the exchange gets to win Lark & Kinokuniya vouchers.
