5 Great Bars for Friday Night Drinks

Kick off your work shoes, slip on your heels, touch up your lippy and grab your clutch (be it leather, snakeskin or male).... We are going out for Friday night drinks Singapore style.

Step one: call a cab and head directly to 83. This is a hip place to sip.... with cassettes on the walls, mosaic tiles on the floor, cool drinks, great food.... you want more?
When: Mon-Thurs 12pm-12am. Fri 12pm - 2am. Sat 6pm-2am. Closed Sun.

Step two: Shake it up baby at the glass encased Martini Bar at the Grand Hyatt.... with a mean happy hour ($10 martinis until 9pm) and every martini under the sun you could be begging it not to come up the next morning!

Step three: meet my friend, unknown to some, the Kinki Bar. Sitting pretty atop Customs House with a view second to none. There's a dj to set a cool tone, happy hour, Japanese food... our night out just went from good to great.
When: Mon-Sat from 6pm. Reservations required for Friday night.

Step four: yes, there maybe a few peanuts shells on the floor but that will not stop us from heading to No. 5 Emerald Hill cocktail bar. A European pub-like bar all dressed up in a converted shophouse, this will get a high five for atmosphere.
When: Mon-Thurs 12pm-2am. Fri, Sat and public hols eve 12pm-3am. Sunday and public hols 5pm-2am.

Step five: we're almost there ... But have you tried this lovely little bar tucked away upstairs in our favourite Singapore laneway? Bar Stories and Café Fables is cozy and cool with drinks so fresh they could burst, all made just for you.
When: Mon-Fri 3pm-1am. Sat 12pm-1am. Sun 12pm-8pm.
