Where is home? London and Singapore.
What were you doing before this? I was escaping London's January chill at a snugly local pub.
Favourite spot in Singapore?
I have been going to Samy's curry house in Dempsey Hill since I was a little girl. Set in a historic old club, the best spot is out on the terrace - order a Tiger beer or a lime juice and wait for staff to come round and slop delicious mounds of curry onto your banana leaf!
Favourite Saturday in Singapore?
Taking my little nephew to Jurong Bird Park.
Champagne or martini?
Champagne.
What is Singapore's best kept secret?
Sembawang Park in the north with its old naval bases and views of Malaysia. It is a very Malay area, little visited by tourists, and it gives you a flavour of what Singapore used to be like. On the weekends you can get a great insight into a less flashy side of Singapore as lots of families pitch up on this scruffy little beach to have barbecues.
