Dogged Love
Oh those puppy eyes! The National Geographic Channel is partnering four dog shelters to organize the largest dog adoption drive, so head down if you're prepared to bring your new best friend home. And if you already have a canine companion who won't stop chewing those sneakers, drop in on the free pet workshops Nat Geo is offering.

Flee to Art
Like the arts? Shopping? Food? We love 'em all, so you'll definitely catch us at Goodman Arts Centre munching on cupcakes and sussing out bargains before checking out works by 42 artists over in the gallery. The exhibition is part of Noise Singapore, a platform for young artists under 35.

Occupy Tiong Bahru
Tiong Bahru is pretty cool. So you've visited the cafes and browsed the shops? Great. But ever been inside residents' homes? Singapore's only art walkabout, OH! Open House, will take you on a tour of 6 homes installed with 15 art works. Think photography, videos, and interactive media designed to make you re-assess the area.

Feel the Heat
Fancy some heated competition? Spend Sunday afternoon at the Chili Cookoff by the bayfront cooking up a chili storm. Or if you don't cook, eat! A $30 cover charge includes free chili tasting. For a great cause too: proceeds go towards the education of Cambodian children either in prison or who have parents in prison.
