Beauty addicts, put your manicured hands up. If you’re a mani-pedi regular, you know how brittle and yellow those nails can get under all that glossy varnish.

Which is why we’re so stoked about this beauty spa we found at Upper Thomson – they only use non-toxic polishes that will get you looking good both inside and out.

But what we love love love about this place is the impeccable service. You walk in expecting a regular mani-pedi; instead you get the most luxurious nail treatment.

Be warned that the service will take longer than your regular mani treatment – the beauticians here will pamper you with with Swiss Mavala beuty products as they scrub and massage your weary hands and feet. A classic mani takes an hour; a classic pedi take 90 minutes, but ladies – it’s well-worth your time.

And if you opt for the Platinum spa service (which uses only organic or botanical products), be prepared to up the notch by adding either a mask or paraffin treatment to your pre-polish routine.

For polishes, choose from cult favourites like Scotch Naturals and our personal favourite – Priti NYC, which is completely non-toxic and made without toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DHB) and formaldehyde – all known carcinogenic ingredients.

The spa also offers a full facial treatment menu at affordable prices ($88-$288) – choose from 11 different types of treatments that use established brands like Maria Galland, Dr Murad, and Suki.

Make sure you make an appointment in advance, and set aside a good chunk of your afternoon for some well-deserved pampering.
