Review: Brownice Vegan Ice-cream
Thursday, 31 May 2012
It’s 10pm, the ice cream pangs have hit, but you really don’t want to run an extra 5k over this indulgence tomorrow.
Guilt-free ice cream at Brownice.
We swung by late Sunday night, had multiple scoops of ice cream and none of that icky post-ice cream bloat after.
Brownice serves up great frozen treats at a low-fat cost – they’re totally vegan, which means all eggs and dairy ingredients are subbed out for organic brown rice milk, real fruit, and nuts.
None of that funky artificial stuff either – this baby is nasties-free!
Flavours tend to change every day, but the store caters to a diverse range of tastebuds. Have a sweet tooth? Try Peanut Butter Caramel. Like things light and fruity? Opt for the strawberry (our fave!). Total chocaholic? Choose from five different chocolate flavours – we like the Dark Chocolate best. Or if you’re adventurous, give the Banana Oats, Pumpkin Coconut, or local hit, Chendol, a shot.
The frills-free store is also all about good, real food – with granola (chemical-free of course), hand-cut chips, and real maple syrup for sale, you bet we’ll be back for seconds.
