POLLEN
Jason Atherton? All-star secret ingredient to success.
First there was Pollen Street Social in London. Big hit.
Esquina (Singapore) followed. Mad popular.
With POLLEN opening today, we expect only great things to unfold.
Housed in the Flower Dome of the new Gardens by the Bay, POLLEN offers modern European cuisine with Mediterranean influences. Bonus: spectacular view of the Marina Bay skyline.

foodbar dada

Foodbar DaDa
Here at the Honeycombers we love ourselves some great tapas, and Foodbar DaDa hits all the right spots. The place is a bit of a shoebox, but the flavours pack a big punch; no carb bombs here, only bold, well-executed modern Spanish food. A big A+ to original cocktails.

brasserie gavroche

Brasserie Gavroche
After honing his culinary skills at renowned hotels around the world, Chef Frédéric Colin decided to set up shop right here on Tras street, and drew inspiration from his grandfather. This charming French restaurant features family recipes and hearty, stick-to-your-bones fare. Highlights include Tartine d’os a moelle – bone marrow that sits delicately atop scrumptious parsley puree and garlic confit on toasted Poilane bread and the Potée Auvergnate, a traditional pork hotpot.

le petite cancale

Le Petit Cancale
Just when the hype over Duxton Hill was dying down, Le Petite Cancale comes along to keep things fresh. This French seafood restaurant and champagne bar features a signature 50-piece platter of seafood, including oysters, clams, Brittany crabs, mollusks, shrimps, prawns, lagoustines, and whelks. Another popular option is the butter-grilled blue lobster. But our favourite part of the whole meal is dessert: an unmissable, wholly unique salted butter caramel lava cake. Mega yum.

Mon-Fri 12-230pm, 6-1030pm; Sat 6-1030pm

Broadcast HQ

Broadcast HQ
This sweet new concept is the brainchild of Harry Grover (java guru of 40 Hands), Cynthia Chua (founder of the Spa Esprit Group), and George Grover (DJ and music junkie of Broadcast Events AUS). Opened just this month, BHQ houses a restaurant, bar, dance floor, and music retail store (with specially curated podcast, vinyl and CD) – how cool is that! Get your fill of BBQ meats, specialty preservative-free cocktails, award-winning coffee from the man of the hour, and great music.

HAN

Han
This is where great Japanese food goes for the perfect golden treatment – they’re first lightly coated in batter before dunked in hot oil to sizzling perfection. If you’re a kushikatsu fan (translation: Japanese-style deep-fried kebab), you’re in for a very indulgent treat. Definitely no slick, greasy aftertaste over here.

Kitchenette
Good things definitely do come in small packages. This charming bistro and boutique bakery in Goldhill Plaza (Novena) offers affordable French fare, great breads, and always delish wines. Our top pick: the braised beef cheek.
