Donate your items to Sri Lankan Orphanages

We all know kids are incredible growers – so what do you do with the stuff they can’t use anymore?
Donate them.
Now in their fourth year, SIR Move and Ni-Night have collaborated to run an Annual Orphanages Donation Drive, collecting new and gently used items for orphanages in the South East Asian region.
This year, they are directing efforts to orphanages in Sri Lanka: The Good Shepherd Convent, Islama Home for the Needy, Jagadhalla, Father Jude’s Parish, and Grace in Trincomalee.
Items donated are directly shipped to the orphanages. For the fourth annual donation drive, they are looking for the following:
Gently Used Items
Toys
Books – toddler through adult
Board games
Maternity frocks
Bed sheets
Towels
Clothes – newborn through adult
Desks and chairs
Shoes – ages 6 to 18
New Items
Computers
Refrigerators
Industrial-sized Rice Cookers
Mattresses (3x6ft) – 30 needed
Wooden boards (3X6ft) – 30 needed
Mosquito nets
Cloth diapers, adult nappies, milk powder, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, laundry detergent, Dettol, toothbrushes
Flour, pasta, noodles
The donation drive starts on 3 September and goes till 28 September 2012. You can drop the items off at the following locations:
