Good Golly, Gaia
Our favourite picks from Gaia Living

Entering Gaia Living is a bit like treasure hunting – you never know what you’re going to walk out with (initial aim: TV console; end purchase: a food cover, two mirrors, the most gorgeous wooden stool, and… a bed?!).
But even while fervently hunting, you can always be sure of one thing: shopping at Gaia Living is a treat. The store smells great, you shop at your own time and leisure, and all the items have a great story behing them.
We’ve raved about them before, but we thought we’d let the images do the talking this time. We’ve picked out our favourite items from the store, and we predict they’ll sell out quick so get there soon!
Gaia Living, 780 North Bridge Road, Singapore 198748, Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 11am-4pm, p. 6296 8842, www.gaialiving.com.sg

So much eye candy here. You’re greeted by these massive shelves when you first walk in, and while most of the furniture is further inside the store, you’ll probably spend a long time scouring for treats to take home with you here. We always do.
Large Bookcase $2100, Cream Ginger Jar Candle Holder $65, Small Driftwood Branch Candle Holder Small $40, Star Ball Candle Holder $45, Tamarind Décor Egg $125, Driftwood Basket Candle Holder $85, Round Elephant $45, Large Driftwood Branch Candle Holder $55, Black Round Bowl $55, White Wood Pineapple $20
Ever since the first time we visited Gaia Living we’ve been hung up on their mirrors. They’re kinda like the equivalent of “shabby chic” in fashion: perfectly ornate, effortlessly so, and even slightly rough around the edges.
(PS. Spot Ellen (Founder of Gaia Living)!)
Rectangle Lotus Frame $155, Tamarind Wood Console Table $1500, Albesia Wood “HOME†$25, Tamarind Décor Egg $125, Tamarind Wood Double Pyramid Column $375, Tall Glass Cabinet Teak Wood $1250

See what we mean about the mirrors? Major obsession.
Dome Gunungan Frame $225, Teak Root Branch Décor $125, Wood Dragonfly $20
Part of the broken boat series, this bench is a rare beauty. All the wood in the broken boats collection come from old fishing boats and have been repurposed into furniture.
Broken Boat Sofa $1250, Broken Boat Long Rectangle Mirror $115, Round Cushion $40
Broken Boat Console Table, $1650
One of our perennial favourites is the quirky food covers at Gaia Living. Much cuter than the usual plastic ones, the palm food covers make handy souvenirs too. Just say you’re bringing a piece of the Esplanade to them.
Bonus: Gaia Living is currently having an ongoing promotion on their dining tables – they’re all going at a discounted rate! Hit up the store or call to enquire.

We may or may not have tested this bed out – all part of our research process, y’know? But the missing accent piece in your home? That lamp made from driftwood. Ingenious.
