Throw out the formalities of wine-tasting – The Vintners’ Tour 2012 is here to change the game.

From 23-25 Nov 2012, this fun wine festival will feature a series of wine events showcasing 24 artisanal, Old World wine producers.

We’re sure wine lovers will be heading over to buy tickets just about here, but lest you’re not convinced, let us just say that our sneak peek of the event was one of our best tippling experiences yet.

Make sure to catch the highlight of the 3 day event: a one day only, interactive, educational, highly tasty treasure hunt around Capella Singapore. You’re handed a map and a drinks-trivia questionnaire to fill in, and let loose to wander around on your time. The objective is to visit the various themed stations helmed by groups of winemakers – yes, the actual people behind the bottles!

Needless to say there’s plenty of wine to be had along the way (don’t forget – there are 24 top winemakers), but remember to obtain clues from the winemakers to answer your questionnaire. You’ll want to complete it because the grand prize at stake’s a trip for two to Europe with exclusive visits to wineries! The treasure hunt’s happening Sat 24 Nov 2012.

Other ongoing events include masterclasses with guest winemakers and industry experts, and exclusive wine-paired lunches and dinners at partner restaurants like Waku Ghin, Pollen, and Osteria Mozza.

Ladies, make sure to look up the Women’s Lunch, a women-only event featuring wines by women winemakers on Sat 24 Nov. But for a once-in-a-lifetime wine experience, don’t miss out on a special brunch on Sun 25 Nov 2012, where all participating winemakers will be showcasing their wines.
