Little Linguists
[ADV] Global Language Academy for kids aged 3-10
Thursday, 11 Oct 2012
Sure there are plenty of schools that offer bilingual classes in English and Mandarin, but White Lodge isn’t just any other school.
White Lodge has just launched a new multi-language learning centre, the Global Language Academy, and these guys aren’t stopping at mere Mandarin lessons.
They’re also offering classes in four other languages – French, Hindi, Korean, and Spanish – for kids aged three to ten years of age.
In line with White Lodge’s hands-on learning approach, these language classes focus on language acquisition and development by encouraging active learning through involvement and discovery.
While it’s a lot of fun, it’s also effective – the Mandarin programme includes a balance of academic and creative focus with the integration of Confucius ethics.
And to put things in perspective, the syllabus at the Global Language Academy is extremely competitive – it’s comparable to the Primary One to Primary Three syllabus, which are designed in line with the requirements as stipulated by the Ministry of Education.
Want to jump on the multi-lingual bandwagon but your littlie’s still too young? Come January 2013, Global Language Academy will also be offering a Playgroup programme in Mandarin (and the other languages) for children 18 months to 3 years of age.
Global Language Academy can currently be found at two branches: next to White Lodge Kindergarten at East Coast, and within White Lodge Kindergarten at Phoenix Park. The Mandarin syllabus commenced in September 2012 while the other language classes will be introduced January 2013.
