We don’t know about you guys, but we think Jamie Oliver is one of the best TV hosts out there.
We love his philosophy on cooking and eating; he almost single-handedly revolutionized school lunches, and 15 minute meal cookbooks? Damn straight those are life-savers.
And so of course we’re stoked to announce that Jamie Oliver will be opening his first Asian branch of Jamie’s Italian… right here in Singapore!
We’ll have to wait till the third quarter of 2013 before we can lay hands on the restaurant – which will open at VivoCity – but here’s what we can look forward to: a family-friendly restaurant with pasta made onsite daily, an antipasti station, an open kitchen, and an alfresco dining area.
Jamie’s Italian is a partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo. The menu is based on dishes you’d find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss, and has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food, and its friendly and welcoming service.
