Sure we do express lunches on the fly (not pictured: unglamorously juggling a sandwich with only our mouths as we tap endlessly on the keyboard), but who doesn’t enjoy an indulgent lunch at one of the hot new tables in town?
So while we
nursed a hangover powered through lunch post Honeycombers party, it hit us: we should lunch at our favourite hot new tables with all you fab readers.
Honey, Let’s Lunch!
Join us on Friday, 26 October 2012 at one of our new favourite restaurants in town, Violet Oon’s Kitchen. Very special guests Violet Oon, Singapore’s best-known food ambassador, Su-Lyn Tay, one half of cult LA label T-Bags, and Yiming Tay, Violet’s son and charming restaurant manager, will be joining us for our Honeycombers long lunch.
Together with the Violet Oon’s Kitchen team, we’ve put together a menu of our favourites.
The three-course lunch set includes a shared appetizer board with freshly toasted pita bread and homemade dips, a choice between the Meatless Meatball Pasta (vege-friendly) and the Shepherd’s Pie, bread and butter pudding with whiskey and custard sauce for dessert, and a fresh citrus soda to wash it all down.
Thanks to our friends at the newly-launched wine importer drink., we’ll be tasting a range of award-winning New Zealand wines from the Marlborough region. All of this will be set at a stunning long table, decorated by our very talented friends at IndiRose, one of our favourite florists ever.

Honey Let’s Lunch @ Violet Oon’s Kitchen is happening Friday, 26 October 2012 at 1230pm. The three-course set lunch is going at a special price of $45 nett.
