Mooncakes and Lanterns
[ADV] White Lodge Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival
Wednesday, 3 Oct 2012
Ever heard of the rabbit who lives on the moon?
Over at White Lodge on Friday, parents and kids learnt about the Mid-Autumn Festival in a school-organized community event.
Everyone got to sample Chinese tea and was schooled in Mid-Autumn Festival trivia. They even enjoyed an extra special treat as the teachers dressed up and performed a short skit on the legend of Chang’e on the moon.
The highlight of the event? Lantern walk with the littlies! The Whitelodge community took to the streets with their paper lanterns (given to each kid by the school) and were rewarded with a mooncake each to take home at the end of the walk.
Check out the slideshow to see these adorable children in action!
