Crate and Barrel Opens this Saturday!

We’re fresh back from a sneak preview of the uber cool and ultra-popular home furnishings store, Crate & Barrel, at ION Orchard, and this is our official verdict: you’d be crazy not to go.
Lost? Let us explain. Crate & Barrel is well-known throughout North American (though we daresay the world) for bringing quality design to homes at incredible prices.

You might remember the exciting announcement we made last year about Crate & Barrel’s plans on opening at ION Orchard come December 2012. Unfortunately the official opening had to be delayed because of construction woes (we know, we’ve all been there), but they’re up and ready to roll.

Doors open to the public this Saturday, 26 Jan 2013, at 10am, so head right up to level four and comb every inch of the 16,000 square feet of retail space.

You’ll find soft furnishings like throws and cushion covers. You’ll be staring at a wall of gadgets trying to choose between a strawberry corer and a no-fail poached eggs contraption. You might attempt to walk past a wall full of dinnerware and drink glasses without taking a second gander, but you will only fall harder for some really gorgeous lounge chairs. And if you manage to walk away without at least fingering the stunning acacia wood serveware, we salute your resolution.

Best part: Crate & Barrel is not only design-driven, they’re also eco-conscious and customer-oriented. In other words: they work hard to keep prices down for us while making sure their products do minimum damage to the environment.
We’re not afraid to say it: it’s a blossoming love affair with this one.
