Unveiling the new Mosaic Music Series line-up
The Mosaic Music Festival might be over for good, but its legend lives on with the launch of the new Mosaic Music Series, which features three world-class jazz acts over the next three months purely for our aural enjoyment.
Arturo Sandoval
Smooth, silken tunes are Sandoval’s signature, and his brand of Latin-influenced American jazz is certainly easy on the ears. The Cuban jazz trumpeter-pianist-composer, who counts a whopping 10 Grammy wins under his belt, has performed with big names in the music industry, like Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys.
Arturo Sandoval performs on Wed, 27 Aug, 7:30pm at The Esplanade Concert Hall. Buy tickets now on SISTIC.
Herbie Hancock
Got the moves? You’ll love the jazz, funk, rhythm and blues improvisations that Herbie Hancock is well known (and well-loved) for. The American jazz maestro – a recipient of 14 Grammy awards – has been a prominent mover and shaker in the scene since the ‘60s. Hancock will take the stage for an energetic and melodic display that will keep your feet tapping all night long.
Herbie Hancock performs on Tues, 9 Sep, 7:30pm at The Esplanade Concert Hall. Buy tickets on SISTIC.
Pat Metheny Unity Group
Guitar virtuoso Pat Metheny comes to town to showcase his distinctive sound: a heady mix of contemporary jazz, latin jazz, and jazz fusion. The winner of 20 Grammys, the American jazz guitarist-composer will take you on a musical journey like no other, ranging from highly emotive harmonies to deeply introspective works.
