Besides The Travelling C.O.W. and Kerbside Gourmet (a.k.a. Kerby, according to loyal fans), food trucks in Singapore are pretty limited — ironic, considering our obsession with eating. So you can imagine how excited we are to hear that Los Angeles’ famed Lime Truck and its head honcho, who’s also the winner of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race, Daniel Shemtob, are headed this way on 15 and 16 August 2014 to make their pop-up debut in Singapore.
Chef Daniel Shemtob
Sadly, the original Lime Truck won’t be here (boo!), though it’s collaborating with FIJI Water and Kerby to replicate the full truck experience. You’ll get to try their hot signatures such as the braised pork belly taco, fish ceviche tostada and the blue crab and jicama taco (priced at $10 each). All items will come with a bottle of FIJI Water and all proceeds collected over the two-day event will go to Willing Hearts — a non-profit organisation that helps provide for the needy in Singapore. Game for some great grub, food-truck style (read: dripping sauces and messy eating in general)? Then be sure to drop by right outside Orchard Gateway on August 15 from 7pm to 10pm and on August 16 from 5pm to 9pm.
