Octopus carpaccio at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante
#3 – Refreshed classics at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante
Here’s one more reason to make your way to this faraway dining spot atop Telok Blangah Hill: there’s a new chef in town and he’s added his own Sardinian flair to Alkaff Mansion’s signature creations. Order dishes like the Sardinian octopus carpaccio (lightly-steamed for the perfect texture) and the Sardinian pasta with assorted seafood, which comes with the hard-to-find fregola pasta (similar to couscous but each “grain” is a lot bigger). Next month, chef Simone Depalmas will be adding a couple of his original creations to the menu so make it a point to return in September.
