Late-night dessert joint 2am:dessertbar is back in business after a major facelift and has a few sweet tricks up its sleeve. Sugary bites aside, about time you dropped by other well-known spots, like Selfish Gene Cafe and Antoinette, for their new menu additions.
#1 – Waffling around at Selfish Gene Cafe
Craig Road hangout Selfish Gene Cafe has a couple of new additions to its weekend brunch menu. Try chef-owner Gene’s Waffle Brekkie, made with yogurt (key ingredient!) to give it that perfect crispy-on-the-outside and fluffy-on-the-inside texture, and it comes with scrambled eggs and pork sausage. If you’re craving for sweets, there’s the new Waffle Banana served with caramel-glazed bananas and a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

#2 – New French-inspired plates at Antoinette
Revisit this sophisticated dining spot for chef Pang Kok Keong’s spanking new plates, like the poached egg with red wine sauce (alongside sautéed mushrooms, smoked pork belly and levain bread), and wagyu agnolotti (agnolotti pasta stuffed withricotta and Parmigiano cheese, then tossed with wagyu beef ragout). The revamped dessert menu is also drool-worthy: go for the divine strawberry baba, featuring baba dough in citrus vanilla syrup and aged dark rum, fresh strawberries and Chantilly cream.

There’s also a little takeaway area where you can pick up items like chocolate Pop Rocks praline cake and churros.
