What:
Beschle Chocolatier Suisse, one of Switzerland's best-kept secrets of fine chocolates has made its way onto the shores of Singapore. Beschle's chocolates reflect an immense belief in marrying tradition and modernity. The history of Beschle dates back to 1898 when it first started out as a quality confectionery, producing specialties through select ingredients and strict manufacturing measures. Today, this faith still stays firmly in the hearts of its dynamic team of people; with a strong desire to reinvent and recreate. This is the reason behind Beschle's deserving success.
Beschle not only produces delicate chocolate pralines and much-coveted champagne truffles which are air-flown in to Singapore weekly, it prides itself in being a leading chocolatier of quality dark chocolate by bringing in a new line, Quizas. Quizas has caused a small sensation across the globe with its Premier Cru quality: it uses the Porcelana, the genetically purest form of Criollo cocoa bean. The Porcelana bean is so rare that, apart from Beschle Chocolatier, only a handful of other companies are able to use it. The raw material is sourced from a secret place south of Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela.
To satisfy the discerning taste buds of fellow chocolate lovers, Beschle opened its first concept store in Asia with partner, Mr. Shumit Chanda, right in the heart of Orchard Road at Mandarin Gallery. Since its opening on 06 December 2009, the brand is seeing a small, but stead-fast growth of followers, all of whom one could prudently note as true chocolate devotees. An amateur des chocolats who patronised the shop highlighted: "This is definitely not an overstatement. This is 'Death by Beschle Chocolates'.".
