What:
This little gem is a breath of fresh air at Clarke Quay, where you normally find over priced 'concept' restaurants that always seem to leave you grumpy...
Borgata Trattoria Osteria is a classic trattoria, simple, informal and great value and nothing like what you would expect to find in Clarke Quay!
Helmed by chef Andrea Badiali of the also erstwhile popular Sixth Avenue Italian joint Borgo, Borgata Trattoria Osteria offers straightforward Italian fare.
We started with the stuffed portobello mushrooms ($16), and dug into the classic Rucola e prosciutto di parma pizza ($24), and the Linguine Al Cartoccio ($22) which is a lovely rich pasta cooked in foil. The home made desserts sounded pretty good too - but alas we had no room!
The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and often there are 'specials' that aren't listed on any specials board... we were impressed.
