If you need a new coffee joint in the CBD (and who doesn't) be sure to check out The Plain, a very trendy Melbourne-inspired café that serves Melbourne style coffee (read: great coffee).

We are hooked on their breakfast menu which includes a number of dishes with a hint of vegemite... the perfect hangover cure.

This has made it into our top 4 all time favourite coffee shops in Singapore... the others being the new 40 Hands, Kith Cafe on the river and the quirky coffee-only Pap palheta.
