What:
For a different perspective on the city, a trip down the Singapore River on a bumboat is a must. For those who don't know, Bumboats are the traditional boats used to ferry cargo back and forth from warehouses along the river to ships. The boats include interesting commentary on the cultural and historic sights you pass. Handy to know: the boats have no toilets aboard and they don't sell water or snacks. You have to go down one set of steps to climb aboard, however a stroller is manageable.
Cost: Child $8, Adult $15 for a shorter cruise "The Tale of 2 Quays," Child $10, Adult $20 for the slightly longer "The Tale of 3 Quays."
Open: Everyday from 9am to 11pm
Where:
a: The boats leave from Raffles Landing Site, Liang Court Jetty, Merchant Loop Jetty, Fullerton Hotel Jetty, Boat Quay Jetty, Merlion Park Jetty, Singapore
