What: The
NAC-ExxonMobil Concert-In-The-Park series is back with a new
contemporary line-up of exciting local acts! Organized in conjunction
with the National Day Parade 2009 the concert will feature Singapore's
own "Electrico" which has been commissioned to perform the National Day
theme song. Other popular local groups that will be featured are "The
Lion Story", "EN-X" and "Budak Pantai". This programme also includes
fringe activities and the very popular online photography competition.
There will also be a wishing tree where audiences are encouraged to put
up their wishes with prizes to be given away to the best three
messages. This event is organised by National Arts Council, sponsored by
ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and supported by National Parks Board.
It is also held in conjunction with the National Day 2009 celebrations.
A family concert-in-the-park, this event will have
every audience tapping to the groove of the music from the bands and at
the same time children can participate in the different fringe
activities that are specially designed and planned for this occasion.
So bring a camera, bring a chair, bring a mat, bring a hat, bring your
shades, and bring your family for a jolly good time. This family
entertainment programme will certainly keep every audience in a
National Day celebrative mood!
