What:
Looks like we got a line on the new Fremantle Seafood Market, a whopper of a temple to the Aussie seafood platter, Atlantic, Pacific and even Alaskan finned friends.
Inspired by restaurateur Anthony Wong's visits to Fremantle WA, this riverside outdoor space has the classic open air wharf-side seafood feel. With its teak furniture setting, this is the perfect place to kick back for a relaxed seafood feast. We loved the seafood platter for one-helluva starter (pictured is the smallest platter!), and then tuck into a classic Fish & Chips, Grilled NZ King Salmon, or Baked Pacific Ocean john Dory. Leave room for the desserts, we were impressed with the Steamed Sticky Date, with rich vanilla gelato and caramel sauce.
And if you are in the mood for a casual takeaway you can pick up Fremantle Fish Fillet (battered with chips of course), choosing from NZ Snapper, NZ Gurnard, Barramundi or Shrimp. Or catch a classic seafood basket, and wash down with a Boag's or even a VB.
Good things come to those who bait.
