What:
Two good friends new to Singapore, Carrie (founder of Eco Goods) and Katiie (founder of Vama) are joining together to launch their businesses through an open house sales event.
Eco Goods' products are a one-of-a-kind purchase that supports the vision to foster prosperity in disadvantaged communities. Their mantra? Recycled has come a long way and buying 'recycled' is no longer a choice- it's a responsibility. Their range of products includes DYRT, a funky new range of bags and homewares made from recycled billboard vinyl. That's right: Coke sign one day, travel tote the next. Prices start at just $10 for luggage tags and go up to $125 SDG for more labour intensive bag designs.
Vama is the label of local designer Kaitie Manani. The range is effortless, fresh, contemporary, yet oozes sophisticated style. Inspired by Manani's upbringing on 'the plains of heaven' in rural Australia, her signature style is bright colours, eye-catching prints and feminine detailing.
Easily worn from day-to-night, Vama's 'Stella's Summer Love Collection 2010' has a range of dresses, kaftans, camisoles, and loose tie-up pants. The prices range from $60 - $160 SGD.
The range is perfect for that Saturday lunch or Sunday brunch that continues into the night. Produced in high quality cottons and silks, the pieces are breathable and easy to wear, perfect for the sticky Singapore climate.
